Cherokee Storyteller: Gayle Ross

Auntie Crow's Corner, blog, Conversations, Crow Johnson Evans Interviews, Life on the Road as an Artist / December 15, 2023 by Crow Johnson Evans

Spread the love

A conversation about her people and her life.

With Cherokee Storyteller Gayle Ross.

Gayle Ross lives at the seat of the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah, OK, but has traveled the country performing her stories for audiences. This conversation begins with Gayle explaining her background and some of the history of her people.

She does not have a website but a quick Google search will reveal hundreds of links about her. The Museum of Native American History in Bentonville, AR, is an excellent resource for her work. www.monah.org

I hope you enjoy the following audio blog recorded in December 2023 by CrowSpun. We even talked her into telling a favorite story, “The Girl Who Married the Moon”

Grab a cup, put your feet up, and listen to this amazing woman. Gayle Ross.
